Ahmed El Kut
Ahmed El-kutt. Born in Beheira, lives in Cairo. Master’s degree in Arts, Drawing and painting 2018. PhD in Arts, painting 2024. He held 9 solo exhibitions and more than 60 participations in group exhibitions, including the 44th General Exhibition at the Opera House, the Youth Exhibition at the Academy of Arts in Rome 2019. He won the 22nd Youth Salon Award in Drawing Won the first prize at the 23nd Youth Salon in painting
Ziad Bakir Award (painting) at the Youth Salon in Drawing for 24 years, the Name Award (painting) at the Youth Salon in the 26th session 2017, and the 53rd, 54th and 55th Vanguard Exhibition Award in Drawing and painting at the Fine Arts Lovers Association. He has collections at the Museum of Modern Art in Cairo and collections for individuals inside and outside Egypt, Italy, holanda, France, America, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates and Bahrain.
Ahmed Lessi
Lesi .1995 Ahmed Lesi is a multidisciplinary Egyptian artist born in resides in Cairo and is interested in contemporary art and pop art. He is also interested in identifying social issues and the form of daily Egyptian life and tries to translate his ideas about them in a satirical manner using collage and photomontage in addition to painting. Lesi has participated in many local and international until now. Aisha Nour
Aisha Nour was born 1999, an Egyptian visual artist based in Alexandria, Egypt.
Graduated faculty of fine arts, painting department, Alexandria University, in July 2022.
Participated in many exhibitions such as Masr Walada At Art talks gallery 2024, Multi vision-one energy at Zamalek art gallery 2024, Pop-up exhibition at Shelter art space 2023, le printemps des artist at the diplomatic club 2023, Luxor international painting symposium 15 edition 2022, and many other exhibitions.
Aly Sirry
A full-time Egyptian diplomat, aly sirry is a self-taught artist. Multi-lingual with a lifetime interest in art, he has had no formal or academic art training. Only during the last seven years has his artistic output become more intensive and focused.
Over the years, he has explored various crafts and has produced works using diverse materials such as paper, clay, wood, and metal. Currently, he is working mostly with ink on paper.
Amir Abd El Ghani
Amir Abd El-Ghany was born in Cairo 1995 and studied at the faculty of Art Education, Helwan University in 2018. Abd El-Ghany then joined the Mona Lisa Brigade for street art, where he participated in many projects that utilized graffiti for social causes.
In 2016, he created a recycling art project using mosaics with the Mahatat Foundation. Upon
graduation Amir has participated in the Youth Salon exhibition, in addition, he participated in the Luxor International Symposium with other
various group exhibitions in Egypt.
Aya Gamil
Aya Gamil is an Egyptian visual artist born in 1996 and raised in Cairo. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in painting. Jameel explores the significance of the human body as a visual element and considers it a continuous source of inspiration in her artistic work. She believes that the body is a visual language deserving exploration and embodiment.
Jameel has participated in numerous group exhibitions and competitions such as the Farouk Hosni Competition in 2019 and 2020, as well as the Youth Salon in 2020.
She presents her ideas and visions about her concept of the body by weaving an intertwined and distorted world from her memory, summoning personal experiences, situations, both private and public events, objects, plants, and perhaps dreams and fantasies, mixed with a general environment of fear about wars and conflicts, envisioning a harsh present and future.
Batool Nader
Batool Nader was born in 2001 and studied at the American University
in Cairo with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Minor in Egyptology. Her work leans towards a figurative scheme with an expressionistic style.
She is passionate in exploring human nature through the body in context to the environmental impressions. She currently works as a professor assistant at the American University in Cairo.
Carelle Homsy
Carelle Homsy was born in Cairo in 1968 and graduated from the Faculty of Arts Education in 1991. She is currently a member of the plastic Art Syndicate as well as the Atelier group. Started her career with her first exhibition in 1992 at the Cairo atelier and has made many solo and collective exhibitions ever since in Egypt and abroad.
Every year she participates in the Egyptian General exhibition and was chosen in 2009 to represent Egypt in the 2nd Luxor International Painting Symposium. Her work is characterized by the expressionism and fauvism aspects, which the artist always resorts to when expressing her inner feelings, by deforming figures and intensifying colors. Also her work tackles the issues of humanity and society the old conflicts between good and evil, human rights and social justice.
Fatma Abou Doma
Fatma Abodoma is a Cairene visual artist from Egypt, her roots belong to the south. Fatma studied Art in Cairo, and exhibited her work in Egypt, Germany, New York/USA and Kuwait. Her research and works explore themes such as suspended time, memory, achieve, mortality and different mental states, also several topics related to women and the challenges they face in the region and in the world, in addition to nature and how to preserve it.
She employs drawings, paintings, cyanotype printing techniques, photography, video making and installations to create images and tell stories. She also published a limited edition art book “Milk tea with mint”. In addition, cofounded the Giza zoo collective in 2023, and participated in its publication.
Ghadah AlKhandari
Ghadah Alkandari is a Kuwaiti artist born in Delhi in 1969. In 1992 she received a BA in Mass Communications from the American University in Cairo. Recently, her work has segued into more abstract forms and shapes, a deconstruction of her usual subjects. Abandoning the familiar forms she was accustomed to has allowed her to immerse herself further into her works, by transporting her own movement and physical tics into her paintings.
Ghadah’s body of work ranges from large-scale, primarily figurative, acrylic paintings exploring the wide spectrum of human emotion and familial complexities, to smaller, intimate pen and ink drawings that focus on the banality of everyday life. She is currently based in Cairo, Egypt, After exhibiting her works at Gallery Misr in 2022.
Gamal Elkheshen
Gamal El-Kheshen is an Egyptian visual artist and a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. He was born and raised in Cairo in 1988. In 2010, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University in Zamalek. He also earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Fine Arts from the same university, and his research focuses on “Contemporary Art Studies.”
The artist has participated in numerous international and local exhibitions. He represented Egypt at the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015 with a project titled “Can You See?”. His artworks have also been displayed in many other important international and local exhibitions, and he has received many awards and honors. He held his first solo exhibition in 2016, titled “End of a Season,” and has since held four other solo exhibitions. The artist has participated in many international workshops and art events, and his work includes various fields of contemporary visual arts such as photography, painting, digital art, installation art, and video art.
Gamal El-Kheshen works as a lecturer at several Egyptian universities, including Helwan University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Al-Jalalah University’s Faculty of Arts and Design, and the British University’s College of Media.
Gamal Ezz
At the Egypt Art School Ez learned traditional painting/ drawing techniques and ideas. In the Dutch Royal Academy of The Hague (1996-2002), he became familiar with a more contemporary idiom. He went on to make two-dimensional as well as three-dimensional works which are in no way modern in an academic way but show his search for a wholly personal vocabulary which he would later expand all the time. The world of animals seen from underneath is very characteristic for his style.
Ezz became primarily known for his often site specific installations which sometimes take up very large spaces. They often consist of heterogeneous materials are combined in a new way and so articulate a new dramatic meaning and show his social and emotional
commitment. On the other hand, he continued to paint and to draw.
Gamal Ez obtained many awards and grants (a.o. Stipendia Fonds BKVB, Stroom Premium) and he stayed as an artist at his residence in Cairo. His work has been shown in the Netherlands and abroad, and recently, in Dubai and Egypt. He can be considered as a bi-cultural artist.
Hana Sameh
Hana Sameh (b. 2001) is a Cairo-based visual artist and curator. A 2023 graduate of the American University in Cairo, where she founded its first Visual Arts Association, Hana majored in Visual Arts and minored in Filmmaking. Her work recontextualizes unconventional materials and narratives, incorporating elements like latex, construction materials, and toys to bring fresh perspectives and new dimensions to her art.
Much of her work draws inspiration from the perspective and psyche of children, captivated by their unmatched candid curiosity and pure outlook on life. Hana has contributed as a scene and costume designer for theater productions, written three short films, and participated in art exhibitions such as Lab Rats. She currently works as an Art Curatorial and Art Director at Helmoaz Art Management.
Hanafy Mahmoud
Born in 1970, al-Wady al-Gadid, Egypt. Lives and works in Cairo, Egypt.
The work of Hanafy Mahmoud demonstrates the artist’s deeply felt
engagement with some of the central issues of existence and the meaning of life. Fundamental to his art is the close observation of the sensual and psychological dimensions of the humankind. The paintings consist of life size individual figures or groups of men and women, often nude, set against dream-like backgrounds.
Hany Rashed
Hany Rashed, a Cairo-born artist, began his career in 1995. He is known for his innovative use of photography, exploring personal and social themes through irony and distortion.
His work has been exhibited internationally in cities like Paris, London, and Vienna, and acquired by prestigious institutions, including Tate Modern.
Jamal Bassiouni
Jamal Bassiouni was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1993. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria, with the Highest Honors and holds a BFA and an MFA from the same institute. He studied color relations and their impact on modern art during his graduation period and his thesis revolved around beliefs in ancient Egyptian paintings. He participated in several Youth Salons and General Salons through the Ministry of Culture in Egypt.
In 2014, he took part in a videography workshop at the École Supérieure d’Art -Aix en Provence and in 2015, exhibited at the Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée. He currently works and lives in Alexandria, where he leads workshop training programs at the Arts School of Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Khaled Hafez
Is Egyptian-French visual artist, filmmaker, and educator. He is born in Cairo, Egypt in 1963 where he currently lives and works. He studied medicine and followed the evening classes of the Cairo School of Fine Arts (Faculty of Fine Arts) in the eighties. After attaining a medical degree in 1987 and M.Sc. as a medical specialist in 1992, he gave up medical practices in the early nineties for a career in the arts. He later obtained an MFA in new media and digital arts from Transart Institute (New York, USA) and Danube University Krems (Austria).
Hafez practice spans the mediums of painting, film / video, photography, installation and interdisciplinary approaches. Hafez, a Fulbright Fellow, Rockefeller Fellow, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and 2023 IASPIS Grant Holder, Stockholm, Sweden. Hafez occasionally curates visual arts and photography exhibitions for younger peers.
Maher Diab
Maher Diab is a Canadian-Lebanese visual artist known for his dynamic use of color, texture, and form. Mina Milad
Mina Milad Ramsis, born in Cairo (1996), is currently a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, Egypt. He has graduated first in his class with honors from the painting department of the same faculty at Helwan University. In his art, he has focused on the unmemorable.
His paintings tend to reverse the roles of societal expectations between protagonists and marginal characters, inverting the idealized canons of center and periphery. Recently, he has Participated in individual and group exhibitions in Egypt, Italy and Spain.
At the beginning of 2022, he was selected as the painter and draughtsman of the Deir el-Medina archaeological mission in Luxor lead by the Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale (IFAO). During this time, he was in charge of the scientific archeological drawings of the pharaonic artefacts found at the site. His paintings have been acquired by international institutions such as the National Museum of Scotland and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Pittsburgh, USA.
Mohamed Abou El Naga
Abouelnaga is a multidisciplinary artist, professor, and curator from Tanta, Egypt. He graduated with honors from Alexandria University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 1983 and earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy of Art in 1997. The first Middle Eastern artist to receive a Japan Foundation grant in 1996, he explored paper-making techniques under Japanese artist Kyoko Ibe.
Abouelnaga has held solo exhibitions worldwide, represented Egypt at the 2002 Venice Biennial, and won First Prize at the 2001 Alexandria Biennial.
Marwa El Shazly
Marwa Elshazly, born in 1983, is a contemporary Egyptian artist and painter who lives and works in Cairo. Elshazly received her Bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the Faculty of Fine Arts. She obtained her Master’s degree in 2011. Elshazly also earned her PhD in philosophy of arts in 2015. She worked as a teacher of drawing and painting at Al-Ahram Canadian University and New Giza University. She is currently working as a teacher in the Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. Elshazly participated in different exhibitions and cultural events and received many artistic grants and residencies, including an academic exchange grant from the University of Warsaw.
She also won several awards, including the Youth Salon Award for Painting. El-Shazly participated in many exhibitions in Egypt, Jordan, France, Italy, Hungary, Poland, and Canada, and her works were acquired by museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, Minya, and institutions including the Library of Alexandria, as well as in private collections.
Marwa El-Shazly constantly strives to achieve stability and perfection on the surface of her paintings. In her own experience, she resorts to abstraction, in an attempt to achieve the balance between the bustle of colors, shapes, textures and different energies. Her desire to control all these contradictions is the cornerstone of her creative process of creating pictorial worlds full of turbulent, incomplete and immature elements, ultimately arriving at a stable and balanced pictorial structure.
Mohamed Abla
Mohamed Abla was born in 1953 in Belqas in the Egyptian Nile Delta. After studying fine arts in Alexandria, he moved to Europe, where he studied sculpture and printmaking in Vienna and Zurich and finally found a second home in Walsrode in Lower Saxony. His first solo exhibition was held in 1979 at the Hohmann Gallery in Walsrode, followed by exhibitions at, to name a few, the Ewat Gallery in Leeuwarden, Netherlands in 1989, the Art Hall in Örebro, Sweden in 1991 and the Egyptian Academy in Rome.
In 1994 he won the first prize of the Kuwait Biennial and in 1997 the Grand Prix of the Alexandria Biennial in Egypt. This was followed by other international exhibitions, including the Havana Biennial, the British Museum in London and the Kunstmuseum Bonn. Teaching at a variety of international institutions led him to found the Fayoum Art Center in 2007. Today it is an establishment where young artists from all over the world live and work together. In 2009, he opened the first caricature museum in the Middle East and North Africa.
Nazli Madkour
Nazli Madkour was born in Cairo, where she lives and works. She received her master’s degree in political economy from the American University in Cairo. In 1981, she resigned from her post as an economic expert at the Industrial Development Center for Arab States (Arab League, Cairo) to concentrate on art.
She held over 40 solo exhibitions. She also took part in several group exhibitions in Egypt, Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Lebanon, Sharjah, Kuwait, Greece, Japan, the UK, and the USA. Madkour participated in the Sharjah International Biennales and the Cairo International Biennale of 1998. She took part in the second international symposium of Sanart, Ankara, Turkey, in May 1995.
Nevine Hamza
Nevine Hamza (b. Cairo, 1977) is a visual artist whose art is profoundly influenced by her architectural background. Spanning photography, digital art, collage, and painting, her work delves into metaphysical concepts and features geometric aesthetics that blur the boundaries between earth and sky.
Often focusing on the sky, her pieces evoke a sense of silence and perspective, reflecting her ideas on parallel worlds, hidden emotions, and inner realms beyond everyday experience.
Omar Gabr
Born in 1999 in Cairo, Omar Gabr is a self-taught artist experimenting with different
techniques and materials. He holds a diploma of Secondary Commerce and had joined
the art collective “Al Laqta,” – Arabic for The Shot, in 2016 where he started taking a more
academic and formal approach to creating art.
Omar Gabr is attuned to the society he grew up in and its consequences: post-revolution
Egypt, the digital age of internet and social media. His figure and portrait-based work
often explore personal struggles, institutional negligence as well as political and social
commentary, with satire and whimsical brushstrokes. Filling canvases, papers and doors with figures, bodies gazes, Gabr documents the everyday and the mundane in his
surroundings. His gaze is attentive, playful, and critical, just like his Iines.
Samir Fouad
Samir Fouad was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1944. He had shown outstanding talent in painting since early childhood. Since the early eighties, he began participating in the Egyptian art scene in group and national exhibitions. He has held fifteen one-man shows, displaying his works in many countries worldwide.
His works have been exhibited in various countries such as the USA, UK, Italy, Russia, Kenya, Dubai, Kuwait, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Sameh Al Tawil
Sameh Al Tawil سامح الطويل, born in Cairo in 1978, is an Egyptian-German multimedia artist based in Frankfurt. His work blends fine art, conceptual music, digital technology, and performance, using his body and variety of instruments and innovative tools like AI, augmented reality, and generative processes to create immersive, thought-provoking experiences.
Al Tawil’s art explores themes of identity, migration, and human rights among other topics within complex socio-, geopolitical contexts. His works are part of private and museum collections in Germany and Egypt, and his practice has been documented in many publications incl. the first monograph on a contemporary multimedia artist in the Middle East, written by art critic Fatma Ali and published by Diwan 2024.
Academically, Al Tawil holds a degree in Sculpture from Faculty of applied arts, Egypt and studied Media Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (ADBK), followed by a Master studies in Media Art History in DUK Krems, Austria. Born in 1970, Sahar ِAlAmir holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1993 from Alexandria University. She has displayed her artwork in several both national & international solo exhibitions.

Souad Abdel Rassoul
Souad Abdel Rassoul, born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1974, is a prominent artist and academic whose work delves into African figurative art forms. Youssef Ragheb
Youssef Ragheb is an Egyptian visual artist based in Cairo. He has been an active member in the Egyptian art scene since 1995 exhibiting his work locally and abroad in group and solo exhibitions. His work ranges from sequential drawing to digital interactive installations.

Omar Abo Gabal
Omar Abo is an Egyptian filmmaker & multi-disciplinary artist based in Berlin, Germany. He grew attached to the art of film and image-making during his Architectural engineering studies at the American University in Cairo.
In the meantime, Omar creates his own experimental, narrative, and documentary films that probe into various elements of today’s tech-driven world, identity, & digital mania. Aboeloyoun Gamal ElDin
Born in Upper Egypt in 1975, Abo El Eyoun holds a bachelor’s degree in Egyptology (1998) and a master’s in Prehistoric Art and Antiquities (2016) from Cairo University. Since 2011, he has worked as an archaeology inspector, contributing to excavation and restoration projects with international teams.
His sculptures blend traditional Egyptian influences with modern styles, particularly through his use of old woods like oak, ash, and teak—once used in railway ties. These materials add an authentic temporal depth to his works, which often focus on the female figure and the challenges women face. He has participated in several key exhibitions, including Expo Zaragoza 2008 and group shows at the Manial Palace Museum, the Palace of Arts, and Nut Gallery in both Luxor and Zamalek.
Ahmed Abd El Fattah
(Egyptian B. 1977) in Cairo. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in
2000. Had a Ph.D. degree In sculpture in 2015. Participated in a lot of national and international exhibitions. Gained the youth salon sculpture prize in 2004 and 2005. Presented Egypt at the Venice biennale 2015 and china 2018.
Hassan Kamel

Therese Antoine
An Egyptian sculptor who lives and works in Alexandria, Egypt. She
obtained her BFA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts – Monumental Section, 2014. The ability to transform a symmetrical, streamlined body shape into simple abstract, geometrical forms and figures has always been a great fascination of hers.
She’s always been captivated by the human body shape and movement as a reflection of its psychological aspect. Uniform repetition, daring confrontation and the whole aspect of identity issues are the major subjects and tools that she employs in her work.
Omar Zaki
Omar Zaki, an Italian-Egyptian artist born in 1996 in Pietrasanta, Italy, learned bronze sculpting and stone carving from his father, Khaled Zaki, working as his assistant in Cairo and Pietrasanta.
In 2016, Zaki studied Dutch language and business management in the Netherlands before returning to Egypt to complete his degree in Marketing & International Business and further pursue drawing and sculpting. His work has been featured in exhibitions such as the 30th Youth Salon, Ubuntu Revisited 4, and TAM Summer Exhibition, all in 2020.

Al Fayed was born in Cairo. Works as a Visual Artist & Media Marketing specialist in Europe & the Middle East. Alfayed attained BA Interior Design (Décor) from faculty of fine arts – Cairo, an External studies and diplomas in Graphic Design & Communication Design from Netherlands & Germany.
Ahmed works as a Creative Director & creates original artwork using cut-out, collage, and print techniques, combining found ephemera, drawing, and photography. His work is concerned with the experimental graphic process, fiction, and narrative.
Nermeen Hammad
A miniature artist based in Cairo, Egypt. I have a bachelor of set
design from the faculty of fine arts ,Class of 2017. My passion for
miniature art started in 2016 at one of the faculty projects. I worked as a freelancer miniature artist in different projects and ads.
Amr Hassan
Amr Hassan, 27 years old, designs and creates realistic miniature
models. He specializes in crafting miniature antique-style interior decorations. His artworks are used for display purposes as well as in
advertising, and short films utilizing stop motion animation.

The FUJIFILM X-Photographer started off his career at “AlMasry-Al Youm”, a famously known Egyptian Daily Newspaper, as a staff photographer for 8 years. Hayman then proceeded with his photography degree and received his Visual storytelling diploma, from the Danish school of media & journalism in 2011.
By 2016 he had founded “Beit El Sura” Photography school & Studio in Cairo. And in 2018, he had published his first photography book "The Dream is still alive" about Syrian
refugees and their dreams, (funded by Arab Women ORG., UN Women and the Embassy of Japan in Cairo). Throughout the journey, Hayman had attempted to spread his knowledge by giving “TEDx-talks”, teaching university students at “MSA” and giving 3 International Travel Workshops at; India, Nepal and Morocco. As well as traveling to 32 countries around the world to document, live and share people’s experiences.

Youssef Ihab Ahmed
(b. 2000, Dublin), based between Cairo and Milan.
Youssef is a self-taught photographer. He has always been drawn to photography from an early age, and has continued using and exploring the medium throughout his life, all while travelling the world. The prime focus of Youssef’s work is on everyday life. He has participated in various photography exhibitions, and works on personal projects.
Mohamed Hegazy
Egyptian Photojournalist (1964–2020)
Mohamed Hegazy (b. August 30, 1964) was a distinguished Egyptian photojournalist and a significant figure in Egyptian media. Raised in Cairo and a business graduate from Ain Shams University, he began his career in 1990 with Al Ahram Newspaper, capturing impactful stories across sports, arts, entertainment and etc. Hegazy rose to become Photography Department Manager and Vice Editor-in-Chief at Nisf Al Dunia Magazine, shaping both content and young photographers within Al Ahram Organization. He passed away on September 4, 2020, leaving behind a legacy of powerful visual storytelling that continues to resonate.
Sara Eltonsi
Dr. Sara Eltonsi is an Egyptian/German visual artist, photographer, and art historian with a
Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Helwan University. Her professionalism in photography began with
her documentation of churches and cathedrals during her master’s and Ph.D. field studies
in Germany, which spanned over eight years. With over nine years of academic experience,
Dr. Eltonsi has taught at several private universities and institutes in Egypt.
She is the founder and chairman of Denkvision, a German institute dedicated to promoting intellectual and cultural growth, and also serves as an art consultant for Immersive Company in the Emirates. In addition to exhibiting in international exhibitions and leading various art projects, Dr. Eltonsi has photographed high-profile celebrities such as Bassem Youssef, showcases her commitment to artistic practice and cultural exchange.
Karim El Hayawn
Karim El Hayawan is a Cairo-based visual artist and interior architect. After founding Design Point Studio in Cairo in 2002, Karim began to develop his photography under the mentorship of Alaa Abdel Naby of Reuters.
El Hayawan is continuously inspired by his hometown Cairo, relentlessly seeking visual vocabulary that defines the complexities of the ever-expanding urban metropolis. Ultimately, photography and video work serve as his narrative tools to reveal commonalities in collective experiences of life, with a key theme of his work being the concept of universal metaphors.
His work has been exhibited at the Institut Du Monde Arabe and Cite Internationale Des Art in Paris, Abu Dhabi Art, Dak’Art Biennale, Ithra World Cultural Center Saudi Arabia, Art D’Egypte and Darb1718 as well as featured on CNN and numerous regional and international publications.
El Hayawan is the founder of Cairo Saturday Walks, an initiative that invites participants to explore different neighborhoods in Egypt through the activity of street photography, with proceeds of an annual group show, going back to one of the frequently visited areas.
